Frequently asked questions

These are the questions we hear the most, but if there is still something unknown, contact us!

What is traditional South African food?

South African cuisine is a vibrant blend of diverse cultural influences, showcasing the nation's rich and multifaceted history. It blends native African flavours with Dutch, British, Indian, and Malay influences. What sets South African food apart is the unique combination of ingredients and cooking techniques. Traditionally, cooking methods like braaing (barbecuing), potjiekos (slow-cooked stew in a cast-iron pot), and baking in wood-fired ovens are popular.

Do we serve non south african dishes?

While we proudly showcase our South African roots, you’ll also find some dishes with just a subtle South African twist.

Do we serve any other drinks apart from wine?

Yes we certainly do. While we do own the largest collection of South African Wines in London, we do serve other drinks including cocktails, coffee, teas and soft drinks.
